The advantages of performance management are well known to all organisations seeking a formal framework to capture and evaluate performance information in a consistent manner, but the very mention of the words performance management brings a sweat to subordinates, who dread the annual visit to their superior’s office to go through a complex appraisal document, and then leaving with no clear indication of how well they fared or the areas they need to improve upon.

Effective Hiring

One of the key challenges in a tight labour market is to attract the right talent who not only possesses adequate skills in performing their jobs, but also the right personality to fit into the organisation. The recruitment of unsuitable candidates not only dampens company morale, but also incurs costs of training and lost time in searching for a replacement.

This workshop is designed to solve meet these HR challenges by providing cost efficient strategies to source and hire suitable candidates. Starting from translating key competencies into a comprehensible job description, participants are introduced to the different forms of search media for different types of candidates.

Then, the facilitator will highlight strategies in screening resumes for the appropriate candidates. Next, participants are coached on the different interview methods available to assess the competency of the candidates, the different types of interview questions as well as conduct of the actual interview. Lastly, the workshop deals with technical issues such as eliminating job rejections and managing salary offers.
